Relevant Experience
I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed to practice in California (LCS21637) and have been in practice for over 25 years as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT). I first practiced in rural Indiana during which time I helped to conduct research on the usefulness of CBT for a community mental health setting. After I relocated to California, I managed a research project at United Behavioral Health which analyzed the effectiveness of remote CBT in the prevention of depression-related absences from employement. In 2003, I began practicing at the Center for Cognitive Therapy on College Avenue in Oakland and in 2004, I opened my private practice in Berkeley.
